We started with an educational briefing.

Next came the food preparation area, where we assisted in weighing the appropriate amounts of fish for the otters.

We checked out the otters' toys.

Then it was otter feeding time! Our favorite guy was Milo. He was so cute and friendly!

Milo was one half of the adorable hand-holding otter pair memorialized in this viral video from 2007, which you really must view if you haven't already. Sadly, his partner Nyac died in 2008. She survived the Exxon Valdez oil spill and was rather remarkable.

We love otters. Yes, we do.
Ok, I have to go to Vancouver just to do this Otter thing!! How cool!
ReplyDeleteI love how much you love otters!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous! Rodolfo and I could spend hours watching the otters at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, so this is something we would love.
ReplyDeleteWhich was your favorite animal encounter?
ReplyDeleteI want to cuddle Milo.
