When we returned to Vancouver a few months after our previous visit, we stepped into what seemed to be a cool, modern place. The Moda Hotel looked promising.
But looks can be deceiving. The hotel's facade may appear new and sleek, but the truth is that the building is very old. You can really tell when you stay the night.
Our room reeked of smoke, despite the hotel's claim that it was a non-smoking room. When we asked for another room, the front desk informed us there were no comparable rooms available and then handed us a can of air freshener.
Even they already knew this hotel stinks.
Oh boo! The hotel looks so cool in photos though. It's too bad.
ReplyDeleteThat would totally bum me out. A room that smells like smoke is plain awful
ReplyDeleteI'm making a sad face right now, you just can't see it. What a bummer because I love modern boutique hotels.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks. :/
ReplyDeleteBummer, man! Thanks for the info, though.
ReplyDeleteBummer.
ReplyDeleteAt least they're prepared for the stink!
