I didn't plan to write about our New Orleans trip immediately (note that I still haven't documented our second San Francisco excursion in late April, which included speeding around town in a convertible, busting both my ankles, hiking through Muir Woods, and devouring delicious dinners at Michael Mina and Boulevard), but Mr. Monkey informed me that some of his co-workers are clamoring for photos of New Orleans, so here we go! Bit by little bit!
After our flight with Terry Crews, we were so ready to hit the hay. I was especially ready, as I was suffering from a pretty bad cold. Mr. Monkey did another great job with priceline.
Our $46 room at the Renaissance Arts Hotel was awesomely modern and palatial.
I still can't believe we only paid $46 for this.
The Renaissance Arts Hotel has all sorts of interesting artwork.
Conveniently located at the corner of Girod and what Mr. Monkey dubbed "Chugga Chugga Choo Tchoupitoulas," the Renaissance Arts Hotel was within walking distance of the French Quarter but just far enough away from the beer, urine, vomit, and general insanity.
The service there was the very definition of Southern hospitality. Everyone was sooo nice! We really liked our hotel and highly recommend it.
Next: Powdered sugary fried doughy heaven.
Lovely! Mr. M. must have mad priceline skills. I still can't find good deals on that site.
ReplyDeleteWow! That room was so cheap, but so nice!
ReplyDeletedying at the pic of mr. monkey doing what seems to be some kind of weird pose.
ReplyDeletehe truly is the master at priceline, you should look into selling his services.
This monkey post needs more monkey action! Can't wait to see what's coming up next ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's funny that you're going to Vancouver, because my mom spent a lot of our trip trying to convince us to go to New Orleans! She used to go every year with my dad.
ReplyDeleteFried donuts now!! :)
ReplyDelete$46?!? The Travel Ninja strikes again.
ReplyDeleteseriously, you need to hire mr. monkey out.
ReplyDelete1. to priceline it for everyone else.
2. to be the renegade funny ninja in vacation photos.
Love the pic of Mr. Monkey in the bedroom!
ReplyDelete$46! that is amazing!
ReplyDeletei love that mr. monkey's peeps rely on your blog to see what he's been up to.
Awesome room for $46! I've never been to NO. One day! Your Mister is so resourceful, btw. Lucky you!
