Laker tickets are prohibitively expensive. We never buy them. This is why we go to Clipper games. It's NBA action for a Wal-Mart price. Of course, the team is Wal-Mart caliber, too.
We got to see the Lakers last night...while paying Clipper prices. There's no question that Staples Center is the Lakers' home turf.
Even though it was a Clipper home game, the crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Lakers. And, to tell you the truth, we are Laker fans, but I felt really bad for the Clippers. I ended up cheering for both teams. Weird, I know.
This was the Clippers' biggest lead.
Needless to say, it didn't last long.
The halftime show was even more bizarre than last time.
The Lakers slaughtered the Clippers, due in part to this guy.
Andrew Bynum had a career high of 42 points!
Didn't you eat anything?!?
ReplyDeleteThat weird halftime entertainment? Imagine it done on ice skates. :/ There's a pair of Russian guys who do that at exhibitions. I had no idea there were more of them out there!
ReplyDeleteWow. I don't know what to say about the half-time show.
ReplyDeleteThe halftime entertainment is always the best part of these games - and I actually like basketball!
ReplyDeletewith all these basketball updates between the two of us, i think we should start a new weem-spn blog! hardy har har har
ReplyDeletePoor Clippers. They get such little LA love. Oh well. They still get paid a bajillion dollars to play basketball. I'm sure they're able to console themselves just fine.
ReplyDeleteholla bynum! i'm not even a huge basketball fan but the lakers are on fire. woot.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I was cheering for the poor souls also.
ReplyDeletePoor Clippers, stepchild of LA.
ReplyDeleteI thought Bynam said Hymen.
ReplyDeleteBizarre?!! What are you talking about? I love the Cirque de Homoerotic Duo! So perfect for halftime at a basketball game.
ReplyDeletei wonder if i'll get to any laker games this season. it sucks when you've been spoiled by awesome seats.
ReplyDeleteAwww...I'll bet they figure the Clippers' half time show is a chance to see what kind of random acts they can throw in since no one is really watching.
ReplyDeletepobre clippers.
ReplyDeletebut yay lakers! (at least that night....) :/
