With that knowledge, the shows weren't really that bad.
Ok, that's not true. They were bad. I can't lie. But the blow was definitely softened a lot by our prepping.
This is not to say we didn't enjoy ourselves. We did. Both nights. At times, the shows were so bad, all you could do was laugh and shake your head at what an asshole Billy Corgan is. Talented asshole, but asshole through and through.
Who doesn't love watching an asshole taunt a crowd?

ReplyDeleteThe Smashing Pumpkins were my second concert ever. Garbage opened for them. Clearly, it was a while ago :)
Ya know, I have always loved The Pumpkins. That said, their music is now overshadowed by Billy's antics. I won't be seeing them in concert and him taunting the crowd solidified that for me. Thanks for the heads up.

I was such a big fan in college I flew to Chicago for their last concert. So emotional and wonderful.

I loved SP in high school. Siamese Dream was so awesome. I had the biggest crush on Billy Corgan as he appeared in the Disarm video.
