...this little mouse works very very hard.
Competing deadlines drive me nuts, but it's even worse when you're the last word. I'm approaching my eighth year of practice, and it still makes me nervous to be the one to sign off on something.
I wonder if this feeling ever goes away.
kiss. i am glad you are the last word on things.
ReplyDeleteI don't know that the nagging concern over being where the buck stops will ever go away. I do think you get more used to it, though. You go with your bad law practicing self!
ReplyDeleteI think you're totally going to rock it!
ReplyDeleteI it's always there. Makes a person take extra care. I have faith in your final word. You'll do great. :)
ReplyDelete:-( I feel like the competing deadlines won't go away, but at least they're in good hands!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way every time I have to interview someone for an article I'm writing. I hate it! But I realized that the day I don't feel nervous at all is the day it's all over. Nerves are a good sign that you care! When it stops mattering, it's time to find another way to make a living. Good luck!

I'm only in my third year, but I'm going to go with no.
ReplyDeleteIf there was a girl I could trust with the final word, it'd be you.
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly. Must be because we're the same year, but we appear to be going through the same thing right now.I liked wowing people by taking on responsibility when it wasn't really my responsibility but now that it really is my responsibility not so much. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go with Yes. At some point, you will realize you are such a badass, you can do no wrong. But then maybe you'll fuck something up and you'll be back to square one.
ReplyDeleteMaybe don't ask questions like this.
i love FGD's comment.
ReplyDeleteIf I were the big President woman or CEO, my vote would be to go to you for the last say as well.
