Slip 'n' Slide

No Coldplay concert can be bad.

But there are certainly different levels of good.

Full review to come, but, for now, here's the setlist (which is a primary reason I thought what I thought about this concert):
Life In Technicolor
Violet Hill
Clocks
In My Place
Speed of Sound
Cemeteries of London
Yes
42
Fix You
Strawberry Swing
God Put A Smile On Your Face
Talk
The Hardest Part
Viva La Vida
Lost
The Scientist
Death Will Never Conquer
Politik
Lovers In Japan
Death And All His Friends
Yellow
On our way home, we briefly hydroplaned no less than seven times, got splashed three times by big rigs barreling through gargantuan puddles, and witnessed an ugly accident that left big and small car parts strewn all over the freeway.

I am glad we got home safely.

Be careful out there, dear readers. Drive at a reasonable speed. Try to use the middle lane. Don't brake suddenly. Keep a good distance between you and the car in front of you because chances are that guy -- like most Los Angelenos -- can't drive worth shit in the rain.

  6. I don't like the latest Coldplay album.

    There, I said it.

However, I still love the oldies like Clocks, Fix You, the Scientist, and Yellow :)

  7. Glad you got home safely too. It's very true about people freaking out in the rain.

  12. I hydroplaned on the freeway once and the car ended up facing oncoming traffic. *shiver* That shit was scary. And Hubbs makes fun of me for driving carefully in the rain. This is a perfect example of why I should! Glad you got home safely.

  15. I love you for admonishing your readers to be careful! You used a Sable-Crowism! Addressing your audience in the active, slightly older-sibling voice with your anachronistic "dear readers!"

I'm taking credit for that one!

Can't wait to hear about the concert.

  16. Glad you made it home safely. I would have freaked out at hydroplaning once, much less seven times.
