Sarah Palin Confuses Me

Photobucket
What makes her family "very diverse"?
I really want to know.

  1. The whole time I watched this debate I kept waiting for "It's Saturday Night Live...."

I did see an interview with her where she said she had a "gay" friend.
Maybe that is what she is talking about?

  2. OH my GOD. What a nightmare. I don't know, she's "tolerant" of gay friends. You know that age-old, I have a [friend], so I'm not [racist, sexist, ageist]. Or was the diversity a nod to her daughter's pregnancy?
She speaks in run-ons, she was completely scripted, and the moments where she deviated she winked into the camera or used the word "doggone," she couldn't even answer some of the questions because she hadn't been prepared.
I am so crazy wound up.

  3. That irritated me each time she said it. Along with many of her other ignorant comments.

Please tell me this is all a bad joke . It must be.

  5. I called BS to Sarah Palin during the debate ( yes, I talk to the tv) when she said this!! If that were so she would find another word for tolerant.

  6. If this is a joke, it is the worst joke ever.

  7. She probably wouldn't be able to tell you if you asked her.

  8. she is really condescending, isn't she. ugh.

i think by "diverse" she means that she "knows" a gay person.

i would consider myself to fairly open-minded, but i'd never call my family "diverse." um, we're all white christians. i'm willing to bet her family is very very similar. :P

  9. I think she's talking about the fact that her husky-racing husband claims to be part Eskimo (Inuit?) or something. Not a big deal here, but I believe that is a big deal in her home state. And don't forget she also has one child that has down syndrome and another that is an unwed teen mom. Not the sort of diversity to celebrate, but diverse nonetheless.

  10. I nearly died when she deliberately winked at me 15 minutes into the debate. And then I wondered why she kept waving at me . . . was she saying hi to me?

On a serious note, it was annoying that she wouldn't answer questions that Gwen asked her because she didn't know the answer.

  12. Um...there are boys and girls in her family? I don't know. *shrug*

  13. She confuses me as well. Maybe it's because she can't put together a coherent thought unless she's reading right from a set of talking points. And even then....

  15. scripted was what i thought too. she had no emotion or passion in her eyes for what she was saying.

i think diverse also meant that she has democrats & independents in her family too. blah blah blah

  16. I had the same thought. Ugh. Hate.
