Few things are better than driving up PCH on a beautiful clear October day.
My drive was made even better today by food and fun at the end of the drive.
This guy had his first birthday party today.
Lots of tykes came to celebrate.
This dude belonged to my friend Perfecta.
Behold the multitude of SusieCakes cupcakes.
If you are a Flickr friend of mine, you can see Small Fries' birthday cake here. (It is adorned with his name, so I'm not publishing it publicly.)
Curly Fries and Grandma Fries made this hat for the occasion.
Small Fries was mesmerized by both his cake and our off-key singing.
The paparazzi were mesmerized by Small Fries.
The paparazzi soon focused on their own rugrats, though.
I took a group photo. Carrying a DSLR is the easiest way to stay out of pics!
One last portrait of Small Fries and his parents.
Happy birthday, Small Fries!
Perfecta's kiddo reminds me of the little guy in this video:

Happy birthday, Small Fries!
it kills me that you always seem to be surrounded by babies and small children.
ReplyDeleteFor someone who has no children, you get invited to a lot of events with children. =) You must be loved by mothers and kids alike.
ReplyDeletegreat photos. a food critic and baby photographer. that's what you should be. a fashion stylist and king's food taster is what i should be ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd cheated and already looked through all of your pictures on flickr :) Love the baby's blue eyes!

ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures! It's amazing how kid-centered your posts have been lately ;)
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't know better...
I can't believe how many babies there were there!
ReplyDeleteSmall Fries is so pretty yet he manages to look 100% like a boy-- Too adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour friends all host such lovely kiddie parties. Happy birthday Small Fries!
That kid is seriously cute...methinks even worthy to be a partner for a certain female legume that we know....PS I licked the screen when the deviled eggs came up.
