While everybody is undoubtedly talking about Isis, the pre-op transgendered individual (whom I think rocks hard), I remain fixated on Sheena.
At the beginning of the episode, some stupid chick on the bus says to Sheena, "You have a great advantage 'cause you're the only Oriental girl here."
What?
I waited to hear gongs.
I was so annoyed by both the speaker and the recipient of those words. Ugh. Sheena, I hate you and your faux ghetto-fabulousness. Your poorly executed Harlem accent is unbearable. You're a go-go dancer from Hawaii.

As you already know, I <3 Sheena and found that comment quite entertaining. Although for me, it was more of a "de dede dede de dede de. . ." moment than a gong moment.

Ohmigawd, my ILs both still call people "orientals" and it makes my skin crawl. They also call me a "Mexican" which is by no means derogatory except for the fact that they use the label for anyone of Hispanic descent and I am not Mexican, I'm Puerto Rican. *Sigh*

ReplyDeleteIsis is such a soldier. I liked how she didn't let the other girls get to her during her shoot. Sheena seems sweet. Oh, and Sharaun got what she deserved.
This may be my inspiration to start watching again.
