On Sunday, I woke up and realized that I'd failed to buy the adorable gifts I'd intended to buy earlier for Mini Glam's christening. Too many activities! Not enough time! I drove out my building frantically and maneuvered around this.
Effing Emmys. Ugh.
Without thinking, I went straight to the Paul Frank store on Melrose. Total auto-pilot.
Closed.
Ugh, squared. I knew it was closed on Sundays. What's wrong with me? Dumb!
Ok. Don't panic. Drive down Fairfax to The Grove.
Nordstrom kids' section.
I knew I wanted to get this book, and I was ecstatic that it was at Nordstrom. The clothing was a given, and Trumpette socks are all the rage.
Done.
In the spirit of efficiency, I got presents for The Bean and Small Fries as well (not pictured for obvious reasons). They are both having a first birthday soon.
And then there were those two pairs of Havaianas in my size that hopped into my bag, too. It was weird how that happened. Weird and wonderful.
Drive home. Scarf down lunch in 15 minutes. Drive to the church.
Then it was on to Glam's house.
Loved the papel picado.
Bounce house for the kiddos.
Flowers.
Gifts, favors, and treats.
White sangria, orange water, aguas frescas (pineapple and horchata).
The best nachos ever, according to Bax and me.
Taco cart.
Mr. Glam and Glam.
Glam's charming little boy.
Beautiful day!
