What do you get when Chinese people open a Japanese eatery with a nod to the Internet?

This.

While not even remotely authentic (I could understand the staff's chattering in Mandarin), Wahoo Chaya (8151 Arroyo Drive, Rosemead) is decent food for a decent price. I like going here for a quick weekday lunch.

The iced green tea is humongous and refreshing.

I usually get the tempura and sashimi combo ($10.95). It comes with all of this.

I hope Yahoo! never catches on. This ain't gourmet, but it sure is convenient.

  1. That's hilarious! Out here there's a place called WaFu sushi located in the WaMu plaza. I think they did it on purpose.

  7. Shouldn't they also be careful of Wahoo's (of the fish taco fame)?

    Hilarious.
