We headed to the country club today for a delicious brunch to honor Mama Monkey and Sister-in-Law Monkey. Mama Monkey was excited because she really enjoyed the last time we did the special country club brunch.
Who
wouldn't enjoy stations with lots of different salads, made-to-order omelets, fresh tossed pasta, king crab legs and shrimp cocktail, carved prime rib and ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs benedict, silver dollar pancakes, macaroni and cheese, chicken, crab and spinach quiche, salmon picatta, and strip loin medallions?
A crazy person, that's who.
And that was just savory stuff. I can't even tell you how many desserts were available! Here was what I had at the end of my meal.
I loved this tiny bottle of Tabasco. Small versions of things are always adorable.
Little Monkey Niece is another example of the tiny adorableness phenomenon. She is totally the mini version of her daddy. My mom couldn't believe how much they look alike! LMN was very chatty but relatively well-behaved today.
Since we were at the club, she had fun playing with golf balls.
The moms enjoyed the brunch.
My brother-in-law and sister-in-law drove Mama Monkey and me home, while Mr. Monkey stayed behind to play some golf. They are the nicest people in the world, and I'm lucky to call them family. LMN rules the mini-van!
