Well, that and being busy, too. Did you understand my sentence fragment? Neither did I.
The paradoxical combination of being lazy and being busy has stalled my blogging. Moreover, I've been thinking about how to improve my blog.
Do you really want to read more about food? Do you really want to see more pictures of new shoes in action? Do you really want to hear me whine about the same things yet again?
I'm not even sure I want to write about this stuff anymore.
The blog is tired and needs some sort of a revival. Even I tire of it. The day the blog becomes a chore is the day the blog is no longer a fun creative outlet.
[sigh]
I bore myself.
i understood the fragment. of course. because you know i love fragments and run-ons.
ReplyDeletei also feel you on the lazy/busy/chore feelings regarding blogging. it's ok to take a break for a bit, although it may affect your stats. ;).
oh, and i'd miss reading, too, as i'm sure many would.
ReplyDeleteI feel that your blog should be what you want it to be (not what your audience wants it to be), whether it's an outlet for your creativity, a quasi-therapist, a place where you keep track of your life, etc. I like reading your blog because it's different from mine. Sometimes I wonder if I should change things up on my blog as well, but I often feel like I don't choose topics - topics choose me. Does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteI don't think you whine a lot at all! I feel like my blog is a whinefest sometimes. But whatever, sometimes we need to complain.
You know I understand where you're comming from. I think you'll get a spark. Your stats are high with what you do already. I hope you feel better about it all soon. I hope the Monkey gets her groove back! ;)
ReplyDeleteEvery blogger gets "blogstipated." Happens to me all the time. As R noted, I'm sure you'll get your groove back - whether it's the same groove or a slightly altered version. :)
ReplyDeleteThis makes me sad. I, for one, want to keep reading about food, shoes, and Monkey musings...
ReplyDeleteI like your blog just the way it is. It's not what you say, it's how you say it -- that's why we keep comin' back.
ReplyDeletei am in tears. you are my blogging idol. you cannot stop writing.
ReplyDeletefrank and i love when you share that you got a standing ovation at the hat. and when you note that brother monkey is still in his no smiling for pictures phase. and that juno disappointed you too.
what more can i say to get you to stop talking crazy talk????
seriously, please don't stop. even if you feel a need to change it up a bit. i'd miss reading your musings as i'm sure a lot of others would too!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading about your shoes/food/CWs/etc!
ReplyDeletepuh-leeze, heffa. quit fishing for compliments ;)
