***********************************SOME SPOILERS BELOW***********************************How glad am I that I stayed up late to watch recorded Gossip Girl?! I loved tonight's episode. It made me laugh so hard. Ivy Week? Really? Really?! LMFAO. And what could beat an intro of a girls' choir doing an a capella rendition of Fergie's "Glamorous"? Pretty much nothing.
If Dan really were second in his class at an elite NYC prep school (and had good standardized test scores), fuck Dartmouth -- he could go to a far better Ivy. What a ridiculous plot...ridiculously great! Ha!
And like dopey Blair could ever get into Yale. As if! Legacy schmegacy! Simply having a parent who graduated from an Ivy doesn't mean you're going to get in. This isn't a damn sorority.
And the gigantic glasses on Blair's groupie friends? Hi-larious!
And...if you had a parent who went to Harvard and another who went to Brown, why the hell would you dream of Brown?! Stupid Serena. Oh well. Doesn't matter because everyone thinks she's a drug addict anyway, right?
"My father left my mother for a 31-year-old model -- a male model."
Reading letters and crying together heal everything. Not.
I need to write for this show.
xoxo,
WeezerMonkey
you should totally write for the show. i haven't watched it, but you should write for it.
ReplyDelete90210 was so much better. You show me Brenda Walsh bangs circa 1990 on Gossip Girl, and I will start to take it seriously...
ReplyDeleteI loooooove Gossip Girl too. It's so bad that it's good.
ReplyDeleteI've heard this is good. I gotta check it out.
ReplyDeleteYou blog about GOssip Girl but mot Biggest Loser? Tsk tsk.
ReplyDeleteI just finished watching the episode from last night (glad I didn't read your blog sooner). Just FWIW, at some Ivies, legacies have a 40% better chance of gaining admission than regular students. Some schools (like Penn) even have offices specifically geared toward schmoozing and recruiting legacies.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I super puffy <3 Gossip Girl!!! The writer, Felicia Henderson, graduated from UCLA and will be a professor starting winter quarter in the School of Theater, Film, and TV for screenwriting.
hahha. youre so funny. i love reading your blogs - the show is fab.
