My firm goes nuts for Halloween. It's bizarre and, frankly, rather stupid.
But I can't look away. Just call me "rubbernecker."
Very few attorneys dress up. I don't think any did today at all. My guess is that staff members like to do it for the prizes (gift certificates and gift cards ranging from $25 to $100).
Our IT department posed as everyone's favorite little blue Communists.
Please note that Smurfette was a man. Impressive.
Senator Larry Craig...in a decorated stall. (For the record, this was a woman.)
Half-assed pirate emcee.
Wonder Woman. Very popular with the men. You should've seen her red boots.
Lindsey Lohan, Nicole Richie, and Paris Hilton.
The saving grace of this madness. Candy, candy, candy.
hahahah! Wow, they really get into it!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually quite surprised that you're not more of a fan of Halloween. You, the lover of most things silly, doesn't enjoy an excuse to be wacky at work? ;)
ReplyDeletethe smurfs look like blue man group.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Nanette.
ReplyDeletei guess the deal is similar at jim's firm --- the staff dress up, the attorneys, um, not so much.
ReplyDeletealthough one of his friends was toying with the idea of dressing up as the firm's managing partner. not sure if he went through with it, but jim and i got several good laughs out of the thought of it.
totally with Nanette too! Come on Weemo...you weren't enjoying the festivities at all yesterday...not even a little??? :)
ReplyDeleteEveryone relieves stress and numbs the pain in their own way. For the staff I'll guess that it's dressing up and pretending they don't hate working there so much. Looks like a fun time though. Gotta give an E for effort.
ReplyDeleteThose are some great costumes! I must say, I'm quite impressed. You should have been a, er, monkey.
ReplyDeleteI love that smurfette was a boy.
ReplyDeleteThe smurfs are kinda funny.
ReplyDeleteThe pirate looks like Brett Michaels.
ReplyDeletei find that staff usually tends to get more into stuff like this, especially when there's prizes to be won. i know i'm guilty of it, but that should come as no surprise to you!
