According to Wikipedia, a block party is "a large public celebration in which many members of a single neighborhood congregate...for mutual enjoyment." Often, "there will be celebration in the form of playing music and dance."
As I take a break from drafting my answer to plaintiffs' complaint (yup, still at work), I thought, "We should have a BLOG party!"
I really love reading everybody's comments and reading my commenters' blogs. You guys give me motivation to try to write every day and have really brightened my mood on many occasions with your witticisms and encouragement. If anyone is up for it, I would love to organize a little Blog Party -- bloggers, commenters, lurkers, friends, and general supporters of More Fun Than a Barrel are welcome! I don't know about the "music and dance" part, but I'm thinking something like drinks on a weeknight, Sunday brunch, or a weekend tea. Maybe we can all try a new restaurant together...and then see who can write about it the fastest!
Kidding!
Sort of.
Heh.
Please comment if you're interested, and feel free to suggest locations and dates. I will summarize more details in another post, and maybe I'll gather interested bloggers' and commenters' e-mails then, since I'd rather not post the final whereabouts and time of our shindig for the entire World Wide Web to ogle. We can do that all over e-mail! At this point, I'd just like to see if there is powwow potential or if the Monkey will end up playing with her iPhone at a table for one.
This is going to be sad if I get no comments. I'll have to scrap my awesome "Meet the Monkey" sign.
If Kate goes, I'll carpool! *squealimg* Bc you recall that I dom't drive morth or west of Irvime. It's out of my comfort zome. *battimg eyelashes*
